European Championship : informations for registred teams

Registred fighters and organization of the tournament

There are A LOT of registred fighters ! 116 fighters, 37 nominations… it’s huge. We will all have to be very serious to have time to do all the fighting. Let’s look at the different categories :

SWORD AND SHIELD

  • “Super-mini”, 3-5 y.o. : only 4 fighters >> nothing special.
  • “Mini-poussin”, 6-7 y.o. : 7 fighters (6 boys, 1 girl) and “Poussin”, 8-9 y.o. : 18 fighters (15 boys, 3 girls) >> We are going to separate boys and girls : 1 girl group in 6-9 y.o. (the 6-7 y.o. girl is strong) + 2 boys groups in 6-7 y.o. (1 subgroup of 4, 1 subgroup of 3, then finals) + 3 weight boys groups in 8-9 y.o. (light, middle, heavy).
  • “Benjamin”, 10-11 y.o. : 18 fighters (17 boys, 1 girl) >> 3 weight groups of 6 fighters (light, middle, heavy)
  • “Minime”, 12-13 y.o. : 11 fighters (10 boys, 1 girl) >> 2 weight groups of 5 or 6 (light, heavy). For the group of 6 fighters : 2 subgroups of 3 then finals.
  • “Cadet”, 14-15 y.o. : 10 fighters (8 boys, 2 girl) >> 2 weight groups of 5 (light, heavy).
  • “Junior”, 16-17 y.o. : 6 fighters >> 2 subgroups of 3 then finals.
  • “Senior”, 18-34 y.o. : 19 fighters (14 men, 5 women) >> as we have few senior 1, we mix senior 1 and senior 2 into 3 men weight groups of 4 or 5 and 1 group of women.
  • “Veteran 1”, 35-44 y.o. : 13 fighters (7 men, 4 women) >> 2 subgroups of 4 and 3 men then final + 1 women group.
  • “Veteran 2”, 45+ y.o. : 5 fighters >> 1 group.

SWORD AND BUCKLER

  • “Poussin”, 8-9 y.o. : 18 fighters (15 boys, 3 girls) >> 3 mixed weight groups, with subgroups of 3 then finals.
  • “Benjamin”, 10-11 y.o. : 15 fighters (14 boys, 1 girls) >> 3 mixed weight groups.

SABER

  • “Minime”, 12-13 y.o. : 10 fighters (9 boys, 1 girl) >> 2 subgroups of 5 then finals.
  • “Cadet”, 14-15 y.o. : 8 fighters (7 boys, 1 girl) >> 2 subgroups of 4 then finals.
  • “Junior”, 16-17 y.o. : 4 fighters >> 1 group.
  • “Senior / Veteran”, 18+ y.o. : 13 fighters (6 men, 7 women) >> 2 men subgroups then finals + 2 women subgroups then finals

LONG SWORD

  • “Junior / Senior”, 16-34 y.o. : 12 fighters (11 men, 1 woman) >> 2 weight groups of 6 fighters.
  • “Veteran”, 35+ y.o. : 6 fighters (5 men, 1 woman) >> 2 subgroups of 3 then finals.

PROFIGHT SOFT

  • Men : 8 fighters >> 4 duels.
  • Women : 3 fighters >> 1 group.

POINTS :

  • As usual, 3 pts for a gold medal, 2 pts for a silver medal, 1 pt for a bronze medal.
  • Profight won’t give any point to the teams because it is only duels.

RANKING and AWARDS :

  • The 5 first clubs will get a cup.
  • The 4 first countries will get a cup.
  • Medals for the podiums
  • Trophee for profight winners (and surprise for the loosers ^^)
  • Fairplay trophies

SCHEDULE

SATURDAY

  • Gymnasium open at 7:00
  • Everyone is required at 8:00 !
    • weighting of poussin, benjamin, minime, cadet categories,
    • then weighting of senior categorie.
  • No ceremony on the morning. First “Allez !” command at 9:00
  • The detailled schedule will arrived here a bit later.

EVERY FIGHTERS IN A GROUP HAVE TO BE READY, EQUIPPED, BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF HIS CATEGORY.

ALL FIGHTERS MUST REMAIN CLOSE TO THE COMBAT ZONE, ON THE BENCH, UNTIL THE END OF HIS APPOINTMENT.

NO DELAY WILL BE TOLERATED !

  • 18:30 : openning show, presentation of teams, political speeches, award of the first day
  • Please, stay with us on evening ! The snack bar will stay open and the meal will be accompanied by musical entertainment by a local artist.

SUNDAY

  • Gymnasium open at 8:00
  • Beginning of the fights at 9:00
  • Award of the 2nd day and closure of the event at 16:00.

SNACK BAR

During both days, a snack bar will propose you :

  • sandwich with chipolata or merguez (4 €)
  • hot dog (3 €)
  • vegetable plate (salad, tomatoes, chickpea) (4 €)
  • potato chips (1 €)
  • soft drinks (2,5 €)
  • beer (2,5 €)
  • chocolate bars (2 €)
  • coffee or tea (1 €)

No need to book the meal before the event, but you can buy meal tickets from Saturday morning.
